Specimens Page 2

In addition to standard abreviations (FL, SW, LW, PH) please note the following used to describe LW FL:  P=pink, OP=orange-pink, BP=bluish-pink, CP=creamy pink, CB= creamy bluish, CW=creamy whitish. Also:  TC=Terlingua calcite, HC=hydrocarbon inclusions.

TCC 5113

 $46

Over 4 1/2" wide x nearly 4" high; about 2 1/3 lbs.; FL is slightly above average for a crystalline piece; displays well;
LW = OP,P,BP

TCC 5115

 $54

A shade over 5" wide x 3" high; almost 2 1/2 lbs.; pink on nearly pure white (daylight); kind of a strange piece, coloring suggests massive but the structure is more crystalline; large FL zones on this side, smaller zones on back; LW = P, BP

TCC 5117

 $32

About 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"; over 1 1/2 lbs.; T.C. sandwiched between 2 Mn layers; surface calcite on bottom has butterscotch yellow FL; LW = pale P, some BP and a relatively large FL HC zone on the back

TCC 5119

 $44

About 4 1/2" high x 3 1/2" wide; almost 2 lbs.; lots of HC inclusions; some pink (daylight) and some of a muddy grayish color probably from minute amounts of HC; lots of tiny FL zones; a 3/4" diameter aragonite (?) ball on one end FL's green SW; LW=light to dark pink with minor BP, CP

TCC 5114

 $42

About 3 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" high; just a bit less than 2 lbs.; cut by several Mn layers; large FL zones with strong FL on all sides;
LW = P, CP, BP

TCC 5116

 $45

3 3/4" wide x 3 1/4" high; about 1/2 lb.; a thin massive piece with hackly surfaces; almost entirely pale pink (daylight); FL doesn't get any better than this; LW = P with a very slight orange tint plus a small area of BP

TCC 5118

 $200

Almost 6 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" high; over 3 lbs.; nearly perfect cluster of scalenohedral crystals on far right coated with lots of green FL chalcedony and tiny quartz crystals; the vug at top-center has clusters of quartz crystals and chalcedony and aragonite (?) balls; lots of quartz/chalcedony (FL green SW) on back of the piece; overall, crystalline specimens rarely get much better than this one; LW = light P, CP, BP

TCC 5120

 $275

Over 6" long x 4 1/2" peak height x 4" thick; 5 3/4 lbs.; much light to dark pink on white (daylight); massive with 2 paper thin layers on the bottom 1/4th of the piece; excellent FL; LW is almost solid pink with a couple of small BP zones along the top edge. Probably the best piece I've offered on my website.
