About the Cover Image

This is a standout piece of Terlingua Calcite with associated yellow fluorescing calcite from the Little 38 Mine in Terlingua, Texas. The colors are richly saturated, bright, and vibrant. It’s a nice palm-sized piece measuring approximately four by four inches. The Terlingua Calcite part is phosphorescent after short wave and mid-wave exposure, while the associated yellow fluorescing calcite demonstrates phosphorescence after exposure to all three UV wavelengths.
